My first year of college was a whirlwind. Thrown into a new environment and on my own for the first time with an UNLIMITED dining plan, it was all too easy to eat that extra slice of cake. And the money I had saved up was all too easy to blow through.
With an empty wallet and some extra pounds, I continued to struggle my second year. Talking to my friends and overhearing students on campus, I realized I wasn't the only one struggling. I constantly heard people worrying about the freshman fifteen or complaining how they couldn't lose those pounds. I also heard people worrying about money, having spent too much on that concert ticket or going out to eat every night last week. Now, in my junior year and in an apartment (with a kitchen!) i'm ready to take control of my diet and my savings and hopefully help others along the way. |
