If you're looking for some delicious food, creative drinks and a lot of fun, I definitely recommend heading to Nashville. From almost attending a spur of the moment country concert (our plans with some scalpers fell through) and peddling a bar thru the streets of Nashville, to trying my first Bushwacker (basically a milkshake with a bunch of different rums) and Nashville hot chicken, my few days in the city were adventure filled.
While not necessarily the healthiest few days (remember, BALANCE) they were a ton of fun and sometimes that's just what we all need.

The above is the Nashville hot chicken. The chicken comes in different spice levels. I ordered Nashville hot which was the second hottest option and it was definitely spicy! The chicken was served with three beignets that were covered in a bourbon glaze--that sweet and savory combo here.
Below is a delicious bowl of bananas foster oatmeal I had one morning. It was made from a grain mix and coconut milk. I loved this because it was just the right amount of sweetness and the coconut milk made the oatmeal delightfully creamy.

Overall, a fantastic trip and I definitely hope to be back in Nashville sometime soon.
