Have you seen those Oprah commercials for Weight Watchers lately? I've learned so much about Oprah from them, like how much she loves bread and eats it every day. Fascinating.
So since Oprah shared how much she loves bread I thought I'd share how much I love pizza, particularly homemade pizza. And last week was a big week in the pizza department because I finally found a whole wheat dough, meaning whole wheat flour was the FIRST ingredient, and it is absolutely delicious.

Making your own pizza is a great thing because it puts you in control of what goes on your pizza. Yeah, greasy, gooey pizza from your favorite pizza joint can be great but so can a homemade pizza with fresh vegetables. I loaded my pizza with spinach, onions, tomatoes and of course lots of cheese. Bake for 10-12 minutes at 450 degrees and it was good to go. So next time you're in the mood for pizza, look for a whole wheat dough at your store (or make your own!) and load it up with veggies. You won't be sorry.
Tip: I find that putting a thick layer of spinach down before the cheese works well. The cheese melts over the top of the spinach and the spinach won't fall off.
